Whitmore Bedrooms Shipping Policy

This Shipping Policy explains how delivery works for orders placed through the Whitmore Bedrooms website.

Delivery area
We currently deliver to mainland UK. Some areas, including the Highlands and certain postcodes, may require an additional charge. Where this applies, we will advise you before delivery and provide a quote if needed.

Our delivery service
Whitmore Bedrooms uses a delivery service arranged directly by us. We do not simply box items up and hand them off to a standard parcel courier network for general fulfilment.
Because many of our products are large furniture items, deliveries are typically carried out through our own arranged furniture delivery process using couriers working directly with us. This allows us to manage delivery more carefully and provide a more suitable service for larger items.

Delivery charges
Delivery is free within 40 miles of WF17 6JS.
For addresses beyond this radius, a delivery charge of £30 per item applies and is payable upon delivery unless we confirm otherwise in writing.
Where a higher charge applies for specific postcodes or locations, customers may be asked to contact us for a quote or we may contact you to confirm the cost before delivery.

Standard delivery method
Standard delivery is to the doorstep unless otherwise agreed.
If room placement is requested, our delivery team may be able to take items into the room of your choice for an additional fee per item. If you would like room placement, please leave a note at checkout and we will confirm availability and cost before delivery.

Assembly and product condition on arrival
Most items arrive fully assembled. Very large items may be designed to separate for access into buildings.
Furniture may arrive with light dust from manufacturing and transport. We recommend wiping down surfaces before use.

Lead times
Many items are made to order, so please allow 4 to 6 weeks for your order to be ready for delivery unless stated otherwise on the product page.
If a different lead time applies to a specific product, this will usually be shown on the relevant product listing or confirmed to you after purchase.

Booking delivery
Once your order is confirmed, we will contact you by phone or email to arrange a delivery date.
Standard deliveries usually take place Tuesday to Friday.
Weekend delivery may be available on request. If you require weekend delivery, please leave a note at checkout or contact us after ordering and we will confirm availability and any additional charges.

Delivery times and delays
Delivery dates and times are estimates only and are not guaranteed.
Although we aim to meet agreed delivery arrangements wherever possible, delays can happen due to factors outside our reasonable control, including traffic, weather, vehicle issues, access problems, supply delays, or courier availability.
If a delay occurs, we will contact you and arrange the next available delivery date where possible.

Access and customer responsibilities
You are responsible for ensuring that the delivery location is accessible and suitable for the furniture ordered. This includes checking door widths, staircases, lifts, hallways, corridors, corners, and any parking or access restrictions.
If delivery cannot be completed because access is not possible, nobody is available to accept the delivery, or the route is unsafe, we may need to rebook delivery and additional charges may apply.

Risk and responsibility
Risk of loss or damage passes to you once the goods have been delivered.
If your order arrives damaged, faulty, or incorrect, please contact hello@whitmorebedrooms.co.uk as soon as possible with your order number and photos where possible.
